Introduction of Wrap Reel

Image
Wrap reel is one of the instruments used to evaluate the linear density technical indicators of yarns, fibers, and filaments. Some foreign users are also use it to prepare yarn strength samples. It is widely used in the textile industries, testing institutions, quality inspection and law enforcement units and central laboratories of scientific research institutions. Search for the details of wrap reel. The instrument controlled by a single-chip microcomputer can be set to slow down the operation 1 to 5 turns in advance of the final stop, effectively avoiding coil punching phenomenon. It can start and stop smoothly without additional tension impact, with low operating noise, accurate coil counting, good reliability, and low failure rate. The electronic counter designed as an integral part of the single-chip microcomputer has real-time speed measurement function and continuous stepless speed. Method of Testing for Raw Silk—Part 2

Image
In addition to the winding test, size test and breakage length and elongation at break test mentioned in the  p a rt 1 , the general inspection process of raw silk also includes evenness test, cohesion test, cleanness and neatness test, which will be introduced in part 2 continuously. Evenness Test Evenness is an indicator of the uniformity of the thickness of short segments of raw silk. Under standard illumination condition, the degree of change in the diameter of the silk, as well as its’ transparency and roundness, can be determined by observing the changes in the brightness of the silk sample. The better the evenness of raw silk, the smoother and more uniform the shape of the silk fabric, and the better the color absorption balance. Apparatus and Equipment Required 1) Seriplane: winding speed is 100r/min, quantity of slices on inspection panel can be adjusted; 2) Inspection panel: 1359*463 mm (L*W); 3) Evenness Standard Photographs; 4) Illumination room: Dark rooms equip...

Method of Testing for Raw Silk—Part 1

Image
Silk dates back thousands of years, and still to this day is highly regarded as one of the most valuable, luxurious fabric. Nowadays, raw silk annual production is up to 600,000 tons worldwide. But, the inspection of raw silk is of vital importance during its’ production process. Overview Raw silk test is divided into two items——weight and quality inspection. The quality inspection contains appearance, winding, size, evenness, cleanness, neatness, breaking length and elongation at break and cohesion inspection. The following is an introduction to the normal inspection process, in the order of winding test, size test, breakage length and elongation at break test, evenness test, cohesion test, cleanness and neatness test. https://fyitester.com/method-of-testing-for-raw-silk-1/ Winding Test Winding test of raw silk is the first procedure in a series of raw silk inspection items. It refers to the number of broken ends that occur when raw silk is wound by a certain external force. Raw...

Fiber Fineness and Tenacity Test

Image
Test methods explanation We have tested 5 fiber samples using two solutions to test fiber fineness and tenacity: Solution 1 and solution 2. Solution 1 We use YG002C measured the fiber diameter, and YG005S tested the break force and extension. The fiber density is converted to denier from diameter using the formula. Then use the break force divide the density to get the tenacity. Please move to TABLE 1 to view the test result. We have attached YG002C parameter sheet in Appendix 1 and YG005S parameter sheets in Appendix 2. Solution 2 We use ZK100F measured the fiber density, and YG005X tested the break force, extension, and tenacity. Please move to TABLE 2 to view the test result. We have attached ZK100F parameter sheet in Appendix 3 and YG005X parameter sheet in Appendix 4. A better solution for fiber density and tenacity testing  We also have a YG005XD AUTOMATIC FIBER TENSILE AND FINENESS TEST SYSTEM, which has integrated function of ZK100F and YG005X; it is equipped wi...

Process and Structure of Screw Extruder

Image
Extrusion molding, also known as press molding, is a molding method that heats and melts the polymer solid material into a melt, and uses the extrusion effect of the screw to push the viscous fluid material through the die to form a continuous body with a cross-sectional shape similar to the die shape. The corresponding equipment is called a screw extruder. Screw extruder extrusion process Material (granules or powder) – added to the extruder – heated and transported forward – the material becomes a melt and is extruded – the melt enters the die head for molding – the molding sleeve is molded – cooled in the cooling tank – hauled – cut (or coiled) Classification of screw extruder According to the number of screws, it can be divided into single-screw extruder and multi-screw extruder; According to whether it can be vented, it can be divided into venting extruder and non-venting extruder; According to the presence or absence of screws, it can be divided into screw extruder and screwless ...

Test Method for Trash Analyzer

Image
The impurity ratio is the percentage of impurities in the raw cotton sample to the sample mass. Impurity content is an important indicator for measuring cotton quality. Whether it is during mechanical or manual picking, these non-harmful impurity will inevitably be “mixed” the cotton. The percentage of impurity content directly affects the quality of cotton and the subsequent processing. For example, the impurity content of machine-picked cotton is generally between 8% and 16%. When the moisture content of seed cotton is greater than 9%, the adhesion between impurities and cotton fibers will increase with the increase of moisture, making it difficult to remove impurities, resulting in an increase in the impurity content of the ginned cotton. Therefore, controlling the impurity content in cotton is crucial to ensuring cotton quality. Working principle of trash analyzer YG041 Trash Analyzer mainly uses the difference in specific gravity between fibers and impurities to separate cotton fi...

Definition and Test Procedure of Fiber Strength

Image
Cotton fiber is a textile raw material, and fiber strength is an important indicator. Since fiber materials are often processed into high-strength threads and ropes, the strength of fiber materials is an important determinant of their performance. The strength of fiber can directly affect the quality and performance of products such as fabrics and composite materials. Therefore, in the production of fiber products, it is very important to measure the fiber strength to ensure the quality and reliability of the product. Definition The force of a fiber is also called absolute force or breaking force. Breaking force is the force required when the fiber material is stretched to break by the outside world (the maximum external force that the fiber can withstand). The basic unit is Newton (N), and the derived units are centinewton (cN), millinewton (mN), kilonewton (kN), etc. The readings measured on various strength testers are all forces. For example, the breaking force of a single fiber an...
